Device FAQs
Where is the OBD-II port located?
The OBD-II port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column. It's a 16-pin connector that's easily accessible. Check your vehicle's manual if you're having trouble locating it.
Will the tracker drain my car battery?
No. Our tracker draws minimal power (less than 0.02A) from your vehicle's OBD-II port, which is negligible compared to your car's electrical system. It won't affect your battery life or vehicle performance.
Can I move the tracker between vehicles?
Yes! Simply unplug the tracker from one vehicle and plug it into another. Your tracking account stays the same, and all your vehicle history is preserved in the app.
What happens if someone unplugs the device?
You'll receive an immediate tamper alert notification on your phone. The device also stores the last known location before it was unplugged, so you'll know exactly where it was removed.
Does it affect my vehicle warranty?
No. Our tracker is completely non-invasive and doesn't require any modifications to your vehicle. It simply reads data from the OBD-II port, which won't void any warranties.
How often does the device send location updates?
While your vehicle is moving, the tracker sends location updates every 10 seconds. When stationary, it goes into sleep mode to conserve power and sends updates when movement is detected.
Compatible With Most Vehicles
Our device works with any vehicle manufactured after 2001 with a standard OBD-II port. This includes cars, vans, motorhomes, and light commercial vehicles.
